Xu Feng Xia

was born in Shanghai / China and absolved an intense musical education at the Shanghai Conservatory, with concentration on chinese string instruments. She played up to four instruments in her solo concerts.

Since her stay in Germany, she widens the more than thousand years old chinese musical tradition by integrating improvisation and New Music very successfully.

Numerous projects with musicians from the whole world, she plays worldmusic with her chinese background as accent.

Concerts in China, France, Switzerland, Italy, Great Britain, Netherlands, Belgium, Greece, New York, Portugal and Germany.
